On 26 September 2015 after the memorial service Oranje Hotel with Doodencel 601, a photo shoot at ARS website, we went to the Waalsdorpervlakte. During the German occupation were Sentenced to death passed through the low-through in the wall of the prison to step into a waiting truck. This drove to the Waalsdorpervlakte where they were shot in the dunes. We followed the same route and arrived at the memorial. In the nature Meijendel between Scheveningen and Wassenaar, located a short distance from the Orange Hotel, the monument and memorial Waalsdorpervlakte. The monument consists of two parts: - For the dune, behind most executions took place, are four fusillade crosses. These are replicas of the original wooden crosses, which were transferred to the Frisian Resistance Museum in Leeuwarden in 1981. For these crosses a concrete wall with the years 1940-1945. To the left of a simple plaque with the text: "Here spent many compatriots sacrifice their lives for your freedom. Enter this place with due respect." - The second part of the monument is the large Bourdon Bell, each year on May 4, during the Remembrance Day is sound.

On the edge of the text of prof. Mr. RP Cleveringa: "I loudly to fame and tracking of who gave their lives to prevention of injustice, to extraction of liberty and waring and upliftment of all Holland's spiritual good."

After the war some convicted war criminals were executed here.
