On Tuesday 3 oktober 2017 we took part of a unique tour of JoŽl Stoppels Battlefield Tours in co-operation with Leemans Speciaalwerken to the recovery site of the Lancaster R5682. The bomber was hit by a German anti-aircraft-gun in the night of 4 up to 5 September 1942 and shot down by a German nightfighter, the  Messerschmitt BF110, started from Fliegerhorst Leeuwarden. The plane crashed in the natural resort 'De Alde Faenen'. Today we made a marvellous cruise through this natural resort to the recovery site. Highlight was the flypast of the BBMF Lancaster.
