This was the first trip I made to the invasion beaches in Normandy. As part of the 50th anniversary of D-day I have specified using the EO for this trip. It was very impressive to stand on the beaches where brave men gave a bloody struggle to liberate Europe from Nazism. There is so much to see what recalls D-Day. In the invasion Arromanches museum. Here are dioramas of the Mulberry harbor was there from June 7 and where supply ships could moor. If you look outside through the windows you can see the Mulberries still half above the water. In Ste Mère Eglise Airborne is a museum dedicated to the landing of the U.S. 82nd and 101st airborne division. Bayeux is a museum that is about the Battle of Normandy in the weeks after D-Day. And then many cemeteries and memorials.
